Any ETA on "Pronounce Hebrew" ?
Matthew 24:36
Many in the forums believe it will never happen after so many years of waiting. I believe it will eventually happen but no longer think about it as something I will see in the near future.
We've got enough data back from the voice talent to build this now, and we've made a working test build. We've got a few niggling details to work out, but I expect a ship date will probably be assigned next week.
Good news!
If you google ot 503 Hebrew Grammer , you can go through a youTube course and get from
Zero to knowing Hebrew Alphabet & vowels fairly quickly.
An issue is the screens a not all clear enough to see characters and vowel pointings.
As I study, I would like this functionality to double check my pronunciation.
All effort in this is much appreciated.

Hebrew with Heiser has Libronix 3 videos that supplement Beginning Biblical Hebrew by Mark Futato (resource included in several base packages).
MEMRA (founded by Michael Heiser, Logos Academic Editor) has course list => http://www.memraonline.com/allcourses.html

After years and years of waiting this is great news. I originally placed the pre pub order in August of 2007.
Yay! That is the best news I've heard all week.
I have been waiting on this product for at least a year which is nothing compared to some of you. I have the Portfolio Edition and it seems to me that a app as thorough as Portfolio should already have this. This doesn't shed to good a light on Logos. Word Search already has this feature and I'm thinking seriously of buying it. It may not be as thorough as Portfolio but it is an excellent program.
Many of us have been waiting for many years on this feature. It was originally offered as an add-in for Libronix that was being worked on at the time. I think that was somewhere around 2006 or 2007 (maybe earlier I'm not certain). My view is if and when it comes it will be a nice addition to the features Logos offers. Personally I would not let the presence or absence of the feature be a determining factor in my use of the program. IMHO Logos is by far superior to WordSearch with or without Hebrew pronunciation.
Found that on "William D. Barrick's web site", you can download both the Textbook & Workbook.
All Free, and comprehensive.
Any update on the Hebrew Pronunciation?
Can I Alpha, or Beta, or test, or anything?
Any update... can I help test?
LOL notice the "probably" in the last sentence. It's been almost 2 weeks and nothing. I guess he meant "next week" but he forgot to say of which year...LOL...Let's just leave this one alone and just pray that someday we will see a "guesstimate date" whenever they put some beta product to be released to the public that will need lots of updating from time to time. Is not like everybody will use this on a daily basis anyway. Is not like everybody all of the sudden is gonna start spitting Hebrew words through out their lessons, which would be a silly thing to do. I just hope that whenever it is actually ready there's at least a HUGE announcement letting everybody know it IS ready this time and not some "we're almost there" and the "almost there" is gonna take another 7 years. I went looking at the Barrick''s website, I am not sure what Hebrew Textbook & Workbook I need to be looking for to download. A link directly to that page would be greatly appreciated.

I guess that next week ship date didn't work out. But soon I hope.

For all we know, one has happened internally. Logos is rightfully reluctant to publicize ship dates until there are no more ducks to line up. But that doesn't mean they don't have them internally.
I would love a "Hebrew for Bible Readers" resource so that I can look up a guick word or a passage and know how to correctly say some or all of the words in it.
I do not have time to learn Hebrew right now and I know there is a planned scholarly resource - or was - do they have a Hebrew Pronunciation guide for the rest of us something that would say names, places, and other occasional hard words in The Bible please?
do they have a Hebrew Pronunciation guide for the rest of us
Beyond that there are a few resources such as:
Severance, W. Murray, and Terry Eddinger. That's Easy for You to Say: Your Quick Guide to Pronouncing Bible Names, 3rd ed. Nashville, TN: Broadman & Holman Publishers, 1997.
I've been this way before, and I'm sure to be this way again ... once again ...

niggling???? uggg
Hey Clifford. I am unsure what you are trying to say by your post, but in case you think there was a negative connotation to the choice of words, there is none:
It's good to see that the "niggling details" as mentioned by Vincent has been worked out. Everyone interested has been waiting for this resource for a long long time. [:)]
