For the next three to five days (random number) I propose that we seek to post only positive and uplifting things in honour of Milford Murray.

He sought to help out on the forums, always positive, and a real inspiration. He will truly be missed.

Why not do this all the time?

I am asking all of us to stop the bashing of individuals who we disagree with, name calling, insulting remarks, character asasination, even if it is true.

We can report bugs and our frustration, but seek to be positive in conveying the message.

This is aimed at no one in particular, just a request.

In honour of Milford who always sought to be positive in his posts. http://community.logos.com/members/2191/default.aspx

I believe that all types of feedback can still be framed in such a way that it is positive.

Whatever Milford had to say was embedded in δόξα τῷ θεῷ πάντων ἕνεκεν.  By God's grace, we can do the same.

Agreed - his legacy was one of positivity. I don't think I ever saw a sharply worded post from him. I'm in on this.

Now maybe instead of pointing to the forum guidelines when people start being mean to each other, we can say "What Would Milford Think?" Smile

Rosie, I offer this post in loving memory of a dear Logos friend. I hope he has imparted his spirit to each and everyone of the Logosians he has come to influence. I saw this online and I immediately thought of him. He is the true embodiment of it's message.

I won't break the rules by posting the link but, will give enough information for it to be found. The title is Excellence: The Character of God and the Pursuit of Scholarly Virtue by Andreas J. Kostenberger. It is bargain priced in Kindle format. I looked and it is unfortunately not available in either Logos or Vyrso format. Enjoy my friends and colleagues.

Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

I did not know he graduated to glory.   I appreciate the effort here.

I was asked to post this appreciative note of thanks from Milford's daughter Johanna in response to all the wonderful posts from the Logos community on the guestbook in memory of Milford.

Milford Charles Murray
1936 - 2014

Message from Johanna Balleine ,

This is Johanna, Milford Murrays daughter. I just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you for your message and also for leaving contact details. I would very much appreciate it if you could pass on a message to the larger Logos community to say thank you to all those who took the time to post the many kind and beautiful messages. It really touched us and I know my father would have been humbled. Despite his quirks, he was a wonderful man who loved his Lord (and loved his Logos *smile* and the fellowship he had with his online friends). We are grateful for those of that community that shared such lovely comments about him. I know he is in his heavenly home, but please continue to remember his family in your prayers as we come to terms with this immense loss. Yours in Christ

I'm so sorry to hear that we've lost Milford's gentle voice of peace.

Heaven's gain is surely our loss.

Grace & Peace,
Bill
