What are your thoughts on the new look?
it is very unfriendly on a touch screen, I had to plug in a mouse to access the options.
I like the old look and structure much better.
While it is new and therefore inherently unwelcome it does have promise as at least it is, by design, organised and logical. At least now you can find denominational base packages.
As I mentioned it needs to be touch screen usable, this is a big problem. If you tap on store the options flash up and then disappear before you can select them. To use them you need a mouseover.
I would also like there to be a link from the store to the "bundles", this is a big hole in what is otherwise a pretty full list of options for what is in the store. A way to highlight the Chaplains package would also be useful.
I keep images off, along with javascript unless needed. The new look is pretty much a blank screen with no functionality.
But no problem; Amazon/Kindle still have full functionality for me and those of my ilk.
EDIT: Did some more exploring. Account is still hidden under the user image and at least you can click on the headings to drill down (but no drop downs). So that's ok. Can still look for books, etc.
Agree. Change always encounters resistance. But after I figured it out, I rather like it. I don't use touch screen so I am not inconvenienced by that mouse over problem but I agree with your suggestions for tweaking.
What's new? I haven't noticed anything in particular.

Sometimes it's better just to embrace the present, rather than try to live in the past. Progress is not always bad.
Certain base packages don't show up for me. For example, I have Reformed Diamond and it does not show up as an option when I try to change the Package Family (maybe because I already own the highest level?). I still think I should be able to see it, though. Anyone else seeing similar results?
Some examples:
I prefer the new menu system, but hate that Pay Monthly comes up all the time (we've been promised this will be fixed), and get annoyed by the box asking me if I know why Logos editions are so powerful.
Yes, that's exactly right — if you own all the packages in a family, the family doesn't show. I find it confusing, too (especially when I can see the standard packages even though I own Portfolio).
Ah gee, Mark. Need to take the Cadillac shades off. It's called 'cellular'.
Turning off both does wonders for slopping youngsters that like to deliver 'media'.
It's called 'cellular'.
I used to turn images off circa 1999 when I was browsing on a 9.6kbps GSM network. But for at least the last five years I've been on a HSPA+ (3G) connection when travelling. Even on EDGE in the mid 2000s I would leave images on.
We're not traveling. Plus you're not making the last payments on your Rolls. We have to scrimp.
The old site would give me dynamic pricing when I pulled up the product on its page. Now I have to click the green bar to get dynamic pricing. Please change it back.
The "base package" page always showed the full - not dynamic - price. You had to click the upgrade page to see the real price.
The fact that I have to click on "Pay in Full" to see the price of an item is really annoying. Aren't most purchases paid in full? If so, that's what should show by default. Adding an extra click for every item I look at just frustrates me as a customer.
It works well for me on a phone and tablet. Are you on a laptop? If you can provide some more detail, we'll make sure to fix it. Thanks.
I would also like there to be a link from the store to the "bundles", this is a big hole in what is otherwise a pretty full list of options for what is in the store.
Bundles is second from the bottom under the Browse column of the Store tab.
A way to highlight the Chaplains package would also be useful.
Thanks for the suggestion. We'll consider it.
I assume you're referring to the comparison chart or upgrade page. If so, this is unrelated to the new site header and navigation we just rolled out. Thanks for the feedback though. As a workaround, you can sign out, visit in an incognito tab in Chrome, or use a different browser. We'll look into better behavior that allows you to explore what you already own.
Out of curiosity, what are you typically trying to accomplish by viewing packages you already own? Is it something you could accomplish from the product detail page (e.g., https://www.logos.com/gold)?
I prefer the new menu system, but hate that Pay Monthly comes up all the time (we've been promised this will be fixed) . . .
Sorry for the delay on the default for product pages. It's queued up. Hopefully soon.
. . . and get annoyed by the box asking me if I know why Logos editions are so powerful.
I think we discussed having this show up only for unauthenticated visitors. You're right that it's not intended to be a message for customers like you. For people who land on our site from a Google search, it's important that they understand what makes our digital books and library system special.
Nothing has changed here. We've not done dynamic pricing on product detail pages for our standard track of base packages, because there are some issues we need to work out with displaying the prices for the DVD versions. For most the other tracks of base packages, we do show dynamic pricing on the product detail page, because there isn't a DVD version.
We have a change in the works that will show dynamic pricing on the product detail pages even for the standard track. It's probably a couple months out though. Eventually, we'd like to show dynamic pricing in search results as well.
I do this to offer buying advice to others (I tend to go incognito). But I think it would be better if:
FWIW, it might be helpful to anotate Verbum 5 so it said Verbum 5 Catholic or something similar. Not everyone visiting the page will know that Verbum is the Catholic option.
Pretty sure anyone who looks before they purchase will figure out its catholic
But what about those who don't look, and therefore don't purchase?
Mark, you need to hurry and get Sda Bronze. [:D]
Now you are cooking on Gas. Dynamic pricing will/should produce more sales. Your team is working hard. After all is said and done, take them on a vacation to the Bahamas. You can worship at my church and have lunch afterwards.
Pay Monthly/Pay in Full/Rent are all shown on one page.
This is an improvement, but like everyone else I hate that it defaults to Pay Monthly, and even more that it takes you so long to fix it. How hard can it be to change a default??
I ... get annoyed by the box asking me if I know why Logos editions are so powerful.
So do I.
As a workaround, you can sign out, visit in an incognito tab in Chrome, or use a different browser.
We shouldn't have to do any of those!
I think it would be better if: The standard package was shown on the dropdown menu, so you can get to it from a denominational package. It's an odd omission. ... Grey out the packages you already own (but allow them to be selected), rather than hide them altogether. After all, we can still get to them from the product pages. FWIW, it might be helpful to anotate Verbum 5 so it said Verbum 5 Catholic or something similar. Not everyone visiting the page will know that Verbum is the Catholic option.

So do I, but I also have some suggestions to improve the Store dropdown. I'll see if I can find the time to write them down.

I assume it is relatively easy to do the fix, but the marketing just doesn't want to do it.
Maybe we should ask a hacker to write a plug-in to solve the problem?
[Y]
That's an incorrect assumption. The request is in the queue, but there are lots of competing priorities right now.
Never heard of the word Verbum until Logos started using it. Good idea.

I Notice this on both my Surface 3 and on my 27" Viewsonic touch monitor on my PC. The problem is that when I highlight (say) Store on touch the drop down menu does not persist when I move my finger, so it is not possible to highlight any of the options.
Hi All,
For those of you using Windows 8 with touch, you can take advantage of hover state functions by using tap & hold. Simply press and hold one of the menu links for a second, and you'll see the menu persist. You should have that same experience on any website that uses hover state.

Hmm. Seems like a job for someone in marketing to add Logos software to that disambiguation page, and update the Logos entry.
EDIT: thought I might submit some edits if I get a chance later.

From what Bob said at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/84790/594669.aspx#594669 I am guessing that folks at Logos won't address this directly.
And that thread highlights my lack of desire for doing it. :-)
I thought that there were web pages where I could see what resources out of the bundle that I already owned. This would have been useful this morning. I saw a post from Rosie which referred to a recent purchase. The series looked interesting to me, so I visited the resource sales page. It indicated that I was eligible for dynamic pricing. At that point, I was unaware that I owned anything out of the bundle. Since it was a series I would have appreciated the name of the volumes that I already owned so that I could go take a look.

That currently only works for base packages, unfortunately.
Has anyone else noticed that the avatars have an HD-like sharpness to them now?[8-|]

No. My eyesight does not have an HD setting. If they are sharper, I am happy for those who can see the improvement. [H]
Nuts, that will show the wrinkles! My avatar is fuzzy by design. (I currently cannot employ the smiley face tool on Firefox and have reported the problem in another thread.)
I currently cannot employ the smiley face tool on Firefox and have reported the problem in another thread.
You can work around that by manually typing in the code for a smiley, which is [ : ) ] (but without the spaces between those four characters).
[:)] Thank you! I was aware of the codes, but don't have them committed to memory. The problem I reported is that using a new version of Firefox pressing the smiley face control blows away my text box taking me to a new, blank, non-functional tab. I experienced a similar problem with the "Insert link" tool.
Hopefully not the salt in my pepper. Low light saved me.

They reported a forum update in another thread. I found that they have also fixed the Firefox problem now! [:D]

I'm glad you [partly] fixed the dropdown while I was away so that all package families now show up, as well as the annoying Pay Monthly default.
However, there are still bugs. Lots of them. Starting at https://www.logos.com/comparison/Lutheran, I use the dropdown to switch over to Verbum.
Bug 1) The dropdown disappears.
Bug 2) Only the lowest and the highest packages show images. The other three are blank.
Bug 3) Trying to select one or two packages is a fascinating experience. Images appear and disappear, and checkboxes are checked and unchecked, completely at random.
Bug 4) Even when I've managed to check two packages (not the ones I wanted), all I get is one column of black dots. No black dots for the other checked package, no grey dots for the unchecked ones. Completely useless.
Bug 5) The Lutheran page shows a slightly better behaviour, but only slightly, as does the Anglican and Logos 5 pages. I'm not going to check the others, due to
Bug 6) All comparison pages get stuck during loading and take an awfully long time to finish.
Bug 7) The dropdowns at https://www.logos.com/upgrade and similar denominational pages still don't allow me to select Verbum. Only the comparison pages do.
Wish 1) While New to You is the best default generally, if I've deliberately selected Show All on one page, and then move over to another package family, I would prefer if it didn't switch back to New to You every time... I am almost certainly doing something that requires Show All there too.
Wish 2) For packages that are fully owned, Your Price should be the full price in Show All view, but $0 in New to You view.

This still shows up, pushing the Also Included In section down.
Still not implemented.
EDIT: Also see BUG: I sure made the Lutherans mad.
