Hello

Unfortunately, I need to re-install Windows 8 on my Dell Laptop. Afterwards I can, of course, re-install Logos and download all of my books again. To short-circuit things, how can I make a copy of my books on a storage drive and then bring them back into my laptop after Windows 8 has been re-installed.

I appreciate any help that anyone can offer.

George

Hello

Thank you for your helpful reply. Where, typically, are the Logos files stored on a Laptop? I cannot locate them on mine.

Sorry to disturb you again.

George

They are hidden files in windows. Here is how to unhide them. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/394-hidden-files-folders-show-hide.html

The path information is in the wiki article .

From the bottom of the article:

The default installation path is:
  C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Logos5 or
  C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4 (for Windows XP)
—> substitute your actual username for username

Note the pathname may include "Logos4" or "Logos5" depending on how the installation was done
