Logos: will this be added to L4?
Will it be free for L4 users that upgraded?
The delay in this product has been due to some unforseen complexities regarding differering Lema schemes I think. (There's a post around here somewhere from Bob Pritchett).
It's coming to L4 eventually, but I don't think it will be free. Right now It's still on prepub at: Hebrew Pronunciation Addin
Ah here we go:
Sorry -- it's just not ready. Turns out Hebrew pronunciation was a lot more complicated than Greek, because each morphological analysis (and lexicon) has a different opinion on what the "lemma" -- or root word -- actually is. Among other difficulties. That's resolved now, though, and we're into the recording phase.
One issue I would like to point out. Frequently letters and mispronounced based on the dagesh. For example the letter Bet is pronouced either bet or vet depending on the presence or absence of the dagesh. This is something frequently missed. Strong's frequently transliterates this incorrectly.
Thomas,
Thanks for the update.
2000 posts - wow!
I hope you MVPs are getting some kind of chits from Logos, because you guys and gals are invaluable.
A more recent post from Bob on this feature/addin is at: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/8810/71077.aspx#71077
Thanks Thomas and Bradley !!!
Is the Hebrew Pronunciation going to be free for Logos4 ? (this should show strike through, but it's not working here)
[i just re-read your post Thomas. Bradley, is it true that this is not free in Logos4 ?]
I see (http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/LogosPrepubs/~3/lSL4amUbBjU/5960) that currently only L4 will be supported!
Bradley, is it true that this is not free in Logos4 ?]
It is not free. It will be $29.95 (at least it is if you order it now on prepub). I consider that a bargain for all the work that has to be going into it. Go to http://www.logos.com/products/prepub/details/5960 to place your prepub order
I think I should have posted here instead of there: Hebrew pronunciation - Logos Bible Software Forums < http://community.logos.com/forums/p/8116/110194.aspx#110194 >
But my question remains... any updates?
