Has anyone noticed the new larger avatars (pictures of the posters)?

Good job Team Logos.

Very nice.  I know they've been working at it for awhile - some under the hood stuff too.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

I would gladly trade avatars entirely for some functionality.

You know... usable search. Editing your own posts. Things that matter.

(But I'm not ungrateful for the avatars.)

I do hope they continue improving the forums. One other wishlist item I was reminded of today. I don't like it that the highlighter defaults back to grey every time. I use yellow highlighting in my posts every once in a while, and wish it would remember my preferred color choice. Or if it has to have a default and can't remember personal choices, yellow would be more useful to most people than grey.

I'm glad my changes were noticed!

This batch of updates includes:

Massively increased logging, so we can see what's breaking much easier.

Account lookup and sign in improvements

Avatars are larger and pull from your Faithlife.com profile

Avatars: I liked them better before - but on kindle fire they're nearly all broken anyway

I've never used a fire (well, not for more than 5 minutes to help my mom set up hers). I assume there are different browsers available? Which one are you using?

I'm using Chrome (much better than Amazon's native Silk browser), but I now suspect that the broken avatar images were an initial part of the server outage this night/morning - at least I saw them in IE as well earlier and other users wrote about that someplace, too. I will check back later today.

EDIT: What the forum improvements didn't do, was fix the "Sorry there was an error with your request"-error. Too bad.

Are posted images no longer linking to the unresized originals?

But the massively increased logging should fix that.

..."today" took a bit longer, but I can confirm the avatar pictures work on Kindle Fire using Chrome, no issues.

You didn't mention that you have fixed the toolbar to work with Firefox!  The "Insert link tool" and the smiley face controls now work!  Thanks!
