Many Bible reference input boxes in the system now let you specify the versemap you want to use for parsing by entering it before the reference. For example, enter "BHS Psalm 3:1" into Text Comparison to compare the Psalm title that comes before v1 in most English Bibles.

Many places in the application don't display the verse map that was used, but just the reference; this is an area we're still working on.

Common verse map names you can enter are: BHS, KJV, LXX-R, NA27, VUL-W

The full list (subject to change without notice) includes: AFR1933, AFR1983, AKESONS, ALFNT, ARA, ARC, AT, AT2, B2000, BFC, BIBEL82, BHS, BUBER, BYZTXT, CAP, DANBIB, DANCLV, DR, DSS, EINHEIT, ELBER, ESV, GNB, GNB-NR, HB, JFA, JPS, JPS1917, KJV, LSG, LUT1912, LUT1545, LUT1984, LXX-B, LXX-R, LXX-S, LXX-S2, MENGE, NAB, NA27, NASB95, NBG, NBS, NBV, NJB, NO78-85, NKJV, NTLH, NRSV, NRSVCE, N-VUL, OSG, OTP, PESH, PESH2, RMNT, RST, RSV, RSVCE, RVR60, SCRIV, SVV, TB, TGV, TISCH, TOB, UBS4, UT, VPEE, VUL-C, VUL-W, WH, WV95

Some Bibles/Testaments have used different ways to versify their contents. The Hebrew Bible is well-known to have slightly different versifying of some passages. That means, say Psalm 3:2 in the BHS is actually what the KJV might list as Psalm 3:1. Logos calls these numbering schemes versemaps.

Thanks, this is something I was asking about.

Some of the pericope set / verse map abbreviations I don't recognize.  Some abbreviations show up with a search but others do not.  How can I find what these abbreviations stand for?

Thanks!!

Is anyone aware of a resource that is a simple Verse Map of the different translations? Or at least that contains the major passages on which different translations differ?

There are some tables available on standardize Biblical IT processing sites as well as in the back of some translations. But for the 80 or so maps included in Logos you need to thank Logos staff.
