I just ordered a new machine.
Intel Core 2 Duo P8700(2.53GHz/1066Mhz FSB/3M L2 Cache)
6 GB, DDR3, 1067 MHz
Win7 64K
Speed had been an issue on my current laptop, and I've found myself impatiently returning to L3. I'm hoping this new one is up to the task.

Dedicated video or no?
ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3670 - 512MB
Not sure what dedicated video is?
Okay, checking a little bit, seems like the Radeon 3670 is a dedicated video card. So I guess that helps. BTW Jeremiah isn't actually your last name by any chance?

Oh, were you thinking he might be this Daniel Jeremiah? Either way, Jeremiah Daniel anything is a great name for a serious Bible student!

LOL, just wondered. That would be my friend Dr. David Jeremiah's son, of course, and any son of Dr. J is going to have some Bible software!
That computer specs out better than the one I'm using right now. This one runs L4 okay. Not great but okay. You have more processor and video than I do but I have a 7200rpm hard drive and that helps too. You should be able to use it pretty effectively for L4 though.
Thanks, Douglas.
Any other expert predictions? Logos 4 is one of the big reasons for the purchase, and I assumed I was buying a machine powerful enough for the task. Hoping I've done the right thing.
You should be fine, but I would get the fastest video card you can and you will be golden.
Rob
I understand your concern. I don't have a powerful laptop, but Logos4 is running fine for me. Instead of reposting my stats, look at this link with a number of users timing their machines:

Logos 4 ROCKS on the new laptop, by the way. Just far faster than I even hoped, maybe faster than L3 on my old computer. No worries.
Thanks for the update Rob!
