I am surprise that James R. White has not made it into Logos. I would also like to suggest his article at http://www.aomin.org/ to be made available. Thanks

Ted

All articles found on his web. Boy, does James know how to take on his critics.

I doubt we'll see a lot of White's material here. But I would at least like The Potter's Freedom or The Forgotten Trinity.

I agree, I would like to see James works... I would also like to see more Geisler, most of his books are availiable now....

Yes, Logos has a ton of Geisler resources (here, here, and here), but they don't have his "Chosen But Free" (which is the book White is responding to). Personally I'm not a big (or little) fan of Geisler (even apart from his soteriological stance), but his work is influential enough that it deserves to be on Logos.

In my opinion...James White is a careful exegete and he's honest about it...

He sticks to the text and expects others to do the same.

His videos are very informative, and worth watching (on Youtube)

I would be nice to have his stuff tagged and searchable....

I have chosen but free (soft cover) but I would love it to search in Logos. There is nothing new in Chosen but free. It is the same stuff that is in his 4 volume Systematic Theology.

I would like to have White Kjv controversy book. I hear it is really good.

White is one of the few exegetes in our day. There are not many that go indepth like him.

That is helpful to know, thanks. However, I believe there is a 2nd edition to Chosen But Free that has an appendix with a response to White.

While I agree with White on most things, I don't care too much for his style of polemics and I think this might be a factor in Logos not acquiring a collection of his works (but maybe I'm wrong).

For me he always seems to be quite condescending. Sad

Maybe it's more my own personal taste, but I think a softer tone and less rhetoric in certain circumstances would serve him better (a soft answer turns away wrath, but I'm not one to preach). To give an example of what I'm talking about, in the Wilkins debate Wilkins, during one of his segments, listed some things that he thought James White left unanswered. When White gave his response the following segment he said something to the audience like "We've heard Wilkins say 'he hasn't addressed this and he hasn't addressed that,' but I'm not going to waste your time with that stuff because I have confidence in you, the audience, that you're smart enough to go back and see for yourselves who has and hasn't addressed the issues..." That's a paraphrase from what I can remember, but I just didn't like the tone of it because it came off as pandering to the audience. I've noticed it a few times in White's debates or YouTube videos and sometimes those things actually backfire on the speaker/author and make him seem less credible and they give your opponent an excuse to dismiss you, get angry at you and/or go ad hominem. But I tend to be overly critical of these sorts of things. [Of course, I think rhetoric has it's place, I guess the way White uses it just rubs me the wrong way some times.]

Is that anything like Harry Potter and the Goblet of FireWink  In case anyone wonders, I have not read one of the Harry Potter books nor have I seen one of the movies.

I can see that. I know for myself, I can fall into the same thing in debate format. I have caught myself doing..

Dont' take it as either support or opposition since I know nothing of his work.
