I REALLY love being able to use Logos on multiple platforms and I love the mobility of it. However, the limitations of the apps remain a wall that I keep running into. I understand that we cannot expect the app to have the power and functionality of the full version, but here are a couple aspects that would really up its value (a selling point over against competition who are also moving onto tablets):

  1. Offline guides. I have always found that Logos' method of querying its contents perhaps too complicated. There are simpler/faster/less power hungry alternatives that could serve well on the app (see for instance the Wordsearch desktop program approach). Not having access to the guides offline is a real downer.
  2. Looking up lemma offline. Again, there are much simpler software that are able to do it. The info button is such a downsize from the context menu of the desktop program anyway, why not make it into something like the Kindle dictionary (pop up with link to resource fully accessible offline)?
  3. On a lesser scale but would seem easier to implement: how in the world can we have a mobile Bible (and faithlife) app and NOT have prayer lists available there? We can have reading plans but not prayer lists? The latter does not seem more complicated.

These are suggestions, not criticism. I am very grateful for all I can already do with Logos on the desktop and the tablet.

Great suggestions. These are basically my top priorities for new features on the Android apps as well.

First 2 points are the ones I most wish for in the app as well!

Regarding prayer points, there's a fantastic app called PrayerMate for that. Not connected to Logos in any way, but a very good app. It has a lot of features that I would never expect Logos to implement, they can't do everything!

For impressive results on Logos apps / prayerlists:

https://www.google.com/search?client=opera&q=site:community.logos.com+prayer+Logos

And the best quote from Logos concerning no prayer lists:  'the apps are free'  (carefully taken out of context)

"God will save his fallen angels and their broken wings He'll mend."
