Strongs

Hi,

I have purchased a Silver package at no small cost only to find that it does not include any versions of the Bible with Strongs notation therefore I cannot synch a Strongs dictionary to the word I'm reading. Please tell me that I am just being silly .

Many of the Bibles in your package include the ability to display Strong's numbers. This is accomplished through the inline interlinear options or through the reverse interlinear ribbon. You will see Strong's numbers in a status tooltip when you hover your mouse over words in supported resources. You will also see Strong's numbers when right clicking on words in supported resources.

Most interlinears are expensive, there's these though, which are good, although still not inexpensive:
Reverse Interlinear of RSV New Testament
Reverse Interlinear NRSV Apocrypha
I don't have time to give both links right now as the Logos store doesn't open. The latter, for the Apocrypha, is included in some base-packages but can also be purchased separately.

I would suggest the above instead of Silver. For the rest of the Old Testament, see if Lexham has something! I have tried out Silver a couple of times and found very little to no use for the resources included in it. It's much more focused on pastoral material and has as commentary set: New American Commentary which is a large part of the cost and I wouldn't use. If You want to know which commentaries I recommend, ask. You can also go offsite to a discussion about commentaries: EDIT4: See also this previous... For all other interlinears You have to buy the Logos 4 Minimal Crossgrade if You don't go for a base-package. (You don't need the Logos 5 Core Datasets or Logos 5 Minimal Crossgrade for Strong's and/or (reverse) interlinears.)

Forgot the LEB, NRSV and the NLT (New Testament only). That is 8 interlinears (9 in you count the 2 KJV versions). All the Interlinears are found in even the Starter BP, a person does not even have to purchase the Silver.

No, I'm not being paid by Accordance. However, I don't see what I just wrote as a breach of forum rules. Neither do You violate any rules whatsoever, but I have noticed that You talk an awful lot about base-packages and I would count paying for more or higher base-packages than You need as paying for software (and databases). Logos has high development costs for software - which both a good (many operative systems used to be supported until this Summer, now it doesn't work on XP anylonger (Logos 3.0/Libronix stopped syncing licenses, and New Interpreters' Dictionary of the Bible can't be installed with Logos 4) and a bad thing, and releases many new datasets some of which are quite biased such as the Bible Sense Lexicon (luckily it wasn't included in Silver when it came out in November 2012):

You are correct Unix that you broke no rules ... but you also did not provide the OP with the correct information to solve his problem i.e. how to access Strongs. I suspect that is the reason you got a negative response to your "answer". After all, despite the banter, the purpose of the forums is to help users actually use Logos.

The KJV still has Strong's numbers associated with it, even if you don't have an interlinear. I think the NASV95 does as well (at least it did back in the L3 days).

MJ., at the time when I wrote the first answer I didn't have time to write a longer answer as I would have missed the bus if I would have written, plus I usually hide Strong's in my Reverse Interlinears so I needed to think before coming up with an idea.

Back on topic:

If you open an interlinear and click in Strongs number, you should sync fine with your Strongs lexicon. You can simply mouseover to see Strongs, or if you have the resource open it will sync.
