Accordance has for example Wesley a whole lot cheaper. Would not buy any Kindle whatsoever, ever, period.

Thinking about getting the life works of Arminius. Amazon has it for under $5.00... I know Logos is WAY more functional tthan an Amazon book. $95.00 better? Anyone here have some advice based on experience with this work or similar works?
Buying a resource is generally best done in pre-pub and/or base packages. I picked it up at some point in a base package. I'm not going to try to persuade you to pick it up for $95. I wouldn't do so unless I REALLY needed the resource at the moment.
Why buy Logos in general? The reason I continue to purchase Logos resources is because of the idea of an integrated digital library. You can search a SINGLE kindle resource, but with Logos, I can search the entire library.
NOTE: This thread may be moved to the general forum... The "Logos 5" forum is specifically for the Logos 5 desktop application (PC or Mac).
Take a look at the Baptist Bronze Package. Looks like it is included in there. As Alabama says this is the least expensive way to get it.
I am very high on Arminius. After all, I am a Wesleyan-Armenian theologically. It would be worth the $95 for me to have in Logos. For most it would not. You will have to decide.
There is nothing wrong with Kindle books. I have bought many Kindle books that were not available in Logos. C. S. Lewis and Martin Lloyd-Jones works not sold by Logos are an example. I can read them (and KIndle books are better than Logos for just reading), and I can search them, as well as cut and paste. They are not as valuable to me as Logos books because they do not integrate with my Logos Library.
They also make great Logos Personal Books, too.

I totally agree! I've grown a little tired of reading Unix's posts on how he got something cheaper at Accordance or how Accordance is better. If you like Accordance so much, then go with them, but don't be posting your personal opinions about a third party software that shouldn't even be mentioned (and this includes Kindle too).
The way it could be fixed is by you saying: "A third party has for example Wesley a whole lot cheaper." It's still your opinion, but you're not promoting specifics. If somebody wants to know who the third party is, I'm sure they can become your buddies and private message you so you can reveal to them who it is. Who knows, they might get lucky and you might end up buying a spare third party copy for them. [:P]
Seriously, and this goes for all those who love to mention that third party software or any other software other than what Logos produces. And trust me, I'm saying this in a kind way. So, please, keep it at the Logos, Lexham or Verbum level.

+1 for buying a package with the resource. I'm sure this is how I got it. I've done this more than once when looking at resources for Logos.
The Baptist Bronze Package looks like a great deal. How can I get a Nazarene Bronze Package seriously didn't know mentioning the K@$! $! Was not allowed. I think I am going to try it and see. I bought Karl Barth church dogmatics from Logos and was not sorry
I got mine with the Mega 500 package last December. Very good deal.
seriously didn't know mentioning the K@$! $! Was not allowed
You can mention Kindle. You just shouldn't do advertising for them.
I think I am going to try it and see.
The Kindle version or the Baptist Bronze?
On a different note: I purchase all of the "christian living" books I want through Vyrso, but nearly all of my fiction books through Kindle. I don't have any desire to have murder mysteries in my Logos library... I have found, however, that navigating through my Kindle library is quite a challenge. As much as many of us petition to improve the library in Logos, it really is much better than most of the alternatives.
Thanks for your explanation Alabama. You would think people would be smart enough to consider the context of "when not to mention kindle" but I guess some need to have it broken down line by line. [8-|]
So I guess "I am not smart enough" to know...is my original post a forbidden question or not? Yikes

It is permissible to me, but others may see the guidelines differently. It is important to note that these are guidelines, not rules.
Life is too precious to worry too much about other peoples' rants. Blessing on you.
