New Search: {Speaker}

What is it?
Speaker Labels are now searchable in most original language morph Bibles and reverse interlinears. The search syntax is {Speaker <X>} where <X> is a Factbook data type reference.
How does it work?
Open Bible Search and designate the desired speaker.
Examples:
- {Speaker <Person Abraham>}
- {Speaker <Person Angel of the Lord>}
- {Speaker <Thing Ass, Wild ass, Donkey, Colt, Foal, Beast of burden>}
- {Speaker <Person Disciples>}
How do I get it?
Speaker search function is available in Feature Crossgrade or above and Silver level packages or higher.

How can I search all the passages that state "God chose" and also find the passages that God instructs "man to choose"?

Clause search, I think. You can select subject and object like that, but the most instructive thing to do will probably be to just search verb:choose OR verb:choose for oneself;select OR... et cetera (use an interlinear to get ideas) and the sort by subject.You can also do it with the sense search (ie sense:to choose and then sort by subject).

Speaker search probably isn't the best way to find passages where God is choosing: I'd recommend clause search for that. In particular, this clause search
agent:God verb-sense:to choose
captures passages where God is doing the choosing, and captures various more specific senses for "to choose" like "to choose by lot", "to elect", and others. This search is for the NT: you'll have to repeat it to find OT passages.
Clause search for
verb-sense:to choose ANDNOT agent:God
will approximate your second example, though without the criteria of God instructing it (note that this is a precise search where Jesus and God are distinguished as agents, which may not be what you want).

I tried the second recommendation you gave and it of course yielded passages that was Jesus. So can I add to the end, OR Jesus?

This works: verb-sense:to choose ANDNOT (agent:God OR agent:Jesus)
Although, the very first result obviously has God as the untagged chooser.

If you want passages where the agent is neither God nor Jesus, you want
verb-sense:to choose ANDNOT (agent:God OR agent:Jesus )
to capture the logical grouping correctly.

How on the first search clause command do I search both God OR Jesus?

Oops, we once again overlapped in our answers!
In its broader context, we understand that in the first result (Luke 9:35) God is the one who chose Jesus. But clause search is only searching within clauses, and grammatically this participle has no expressed subject, as this data from the Case Frames section of Bible Word Study shows.

Sean, how then should I go about this search? Not sure if it helps, but I am doing some study on Calvinism, and want to see a comparison for all the times man is called to choose, compared to the times God is said to have chosen. I was thinking if there is overwhelming evidence to show the Biblical account supports the God choice over the human choice... a hard thing to search, I know, but any recommendations you can offer would be welcomed.

I wonder why searching under Greek yields results, and also Hebrew, but under Septuagint, yields 0 results???

I can't get LXX clause searches to work at all. If I search Genesis in the Old Testament in Greek According to the Septuagint for verb:ANY, I get 0 results. Although, a Bible search in that resource for the Angel of the Lord as the speaker works as expected!
This works as expected, though.

The LXX Clauses database only covers the Septuagint Deuterocanon (i.e., the parts not in the Hebrew Bible): https://www.logos.com/product/45624/lexham-clauses-dataset-lxx-deuterocanon-edition

Trying to edit LXX clause search showed verb-sense and agent are not available. Thankfully can search for lemma's found in NT clause search:
Also learned {Speaker} search can be combined with lemmas.

This and items in replies are very interesting. Where can I find tutorial/documentation of what the various searches (Basic, Bible, Media, Clause, Morph, Syntax) do and when to use them?

Unfortunately no comprehensive help for Clause Search, but see

I found one, Joshua 24:15. Man is called to choose, rather God choosing for them. Even God was being compared as if He was evil, although He is definitely not.

Not quite, as 'evil' = displeasing or disagreeable.
The query I used for this was:
verb-sense:to choose (alternative) ANDNOT agent:God
giving 18 results in the OT.
