While owning Logos Version 3, I bought and used the ability to import my own sermons into Logos.  I can't find how to do that in Version 4 that I just upgraded to.  Can someone tell me how to find that function in Version 4?

The sermon addin is not complete in Logos 4 yet. Read: http://www.logos.com/4/missingfeatures

You can compile your sermons in Libronix 3 and then use the scan command to import the book file into Logos 4 for reading and searching.

EDIT: I gave instructions elsewhere how to do this. Read: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/9213/73274.aspx#73274

Ralph, this is one of the features that is yet to come. See the list and time frames at: http://www.logos.com/4/missingfeatures

Some (one that I am aware of) people in the current Beta group are talking about  having these already, although others are trying to verify this. He said he searched his library for his name and found them.

That's one of the coming attractions. You can see others at http://wiki.logos.com/LDLS3_Features_in_Logos_4.

The ability to see your sermons and illustrations that were imported under V3 has been around for quite a while... I can't remember which version it was added to, but I think it was well back before the public release of V4.

Just to clarify - Logos 4 displays the present L3 Sermon File resource and the Illustration resource  that can still be created from within Libronix 3..(If you have done the SCAN:\...Resources in hte L4 Command Line).

BUT we cannot create any new ones from within Logos 4.That module has not yet been presented for beta testing.

Mark Watson: Do you have any instructions concerning adding new sermons to L4?
  1. Open Libronix and import new sermons with the sermon file addin.
  2. Click compile
  3. Open Logos 4 and type "scan c:path/to/Libronix/books" (without the quotations and with the folder path were you installed your Libronix library) and hit ENTER
  4. Restart Logos 4, it should find your updated sermons and illustrations, copy them to the Logo 4 resource folder, and index them.

How do you "copy them to the Logo 4 resource folder, and index them?"

Step 4 is "Restart Logos 4, it should find your updated sermons and illustrations, copy them to the Logo 4 resource folder, and index them."

My emphasis on "it should" -- meaning all you need to do at Step 4 is restart Logos, and it will do the rest of that line for you.
