I just downloaded Logos 6 and the icon on my mac has the name "Logos Bible Software 7" attached to it. Is there a reason for this?

Yes, it appears we have the same problem. Like the gentleman in your linked discussion, I have an app called "Logos Bible Software 5," but that shouldn't cause "Logos Bible Software 6" to install as "Logos Bible Software 7." There must be a problem here somewhere.
