It stops in mid-sentence and does not start up again. I think this is since Service Release 2, since it was working fine yesterday.
I'm sorry you're having issues with the ESV read aloud. We tested it pretty extensively before releasing the update so I'm very sorry we may have missed something. I cannot reproduce this issue. I listened to several passages and was listening to Isaiah 3-6 while typing this message without incident.
Can you please supply some specific information about where this failure is taking place?

I'm going to assume you're referring to the colored dot or "bulls eye" that follows the text for the remainder of my post. If that's incorrect please let me know what you are referring to.
We show a cue to indicate where the reading is. It can be a "bulls eye" indicator that shows each time the player passes the start of a new verse. It can also be a dark dot that displays just under the text and moves along with the reading. To change this setting you can either check or uncheck "Show word by word indicator" in the panel menu (just below Read aloud).
