When I am highlighting or copying text from a resource, it does not allow me to select my own parameters. It seems to default to entire sentences, or at least phrases.
This is "smart select".
You can toggle this using Alt on Windows (while you are selecting) or Cmd (I think) on Mac
Or you can set it on / off in Program Settings
Thanks Graham!

Thanks Graham, I just had the same problem (found the solution under "help"), but did not know you could toggle it on and off! Thanks
I like and dislike smart select at the same time. I find that sometimes it is a little TOO sensitive. But most times I appreciate it.
But most times I appreciate it.
Personally, I haven't found this yet. [:)]
I have the Mac version, I like the smart selection most of the time, and I hold down the option key when I want to make a more specific selection. It temporarily disables smart selection.
FYI...
This also affects the note highlights. I was having trouble getting the selected text to be bold when I added a note. Now with this suggestion, both problems are fixed!
Thanks!
