Bug? Media Search

I seem to be getting different results with the media search. If I begin a simplr media search on all resources, I get pretty slim pickings.
If I initiate an everything search, I get a lot more results, of course, but also results I wuold have expected in the first search, e.g. Atlas and Media. But it gets even more interesting, as you can see in the third screen shot ...
If I expand the Media section of the Everything Search I can click on Search Media for "Sea of Galilee." Then Ii get results much more like what I would have expected in the first place.
I'm on Logos 6 sr4, Windows 7, if that makes any difference. Also, the Match settings are identical for all searches. Can anyone replicate this behavior?
Thanks,
Dudley Rose

I believe that a media search is limited to resources with a library type of media. Here items are tagged so that you can search for photos vs. images vs. charts. The broader searches are not limited to to the media section. By looking at the resources included/not included in the results you can verify my memory. I proved myself wrong

Thanks, MJ, I'll look into that. However, that's not the behavior the video about media search shows. It quite explicitly says that Media Search includes Atlas, Media and on-line results. Also, note that the third screen shot search, arrived at by going through Everything Search first, is labeled Media Search, also. And if I put different search terms in that search box, it continues to return the larger variety of results.Note also that the Media Search shown in the beginning screen shot returns no media section.

I clearly hadn't complete awoken. May I ask why you are not searching for "Sea of Galilee" or <Place Sea of Galilee>?

The phrase "Sea of Galilee" (with quotes) makes Library Results more meaningful, but it affects Factbook negatively. <Place Sea of Galilee> is the way to go.

Check your Logos 6 package for the Media/Media Collections that are included. Also <Place Sea of Galilee> is the correct term.

Wow. I must be making myself incredibly unclear.
If I click the search icon and initiate a Media Search, whether I put the terms in quotes, qualify them as a Place, I get vastly different results than when I access Media Search from the results of the Everything Search.
Would someone please try these steps?
Try 1) a) click on the magnifying glass on the main page, b) select Media Search, all resources (this is the search Logos shows in the instructional video: https://www.logos.com/features ), c) put in your search term of choice, d) the search returns the 3 categories shown in the first screen shot above with results only under Library Results.
2) a) Instead of a Media Search choose a Basic, Everything Search. b) One of the categories of results will be Media, c) expand the category, d) click on the option to Search Media, e) a Media Search runs and returns several categories of results, including Logos Media Library, Online Results, Atlas, and Library Results.
Both 1) and 2) show as a Media Search (look at the heading in the first and third screen shot), but they return vastly different results for me.I just tried it with a one word search: Jerusalem. Process 1) is exactly like the video, but to get results like those shown in the video, I must do process 2.
Maybe my installation isn't working properly, or I am being incredibly thick.
But I would ask please for someone to try to execute the Media Search in these two ways to see if you get roughly the same results I do. I am certain the differences have little to do with the formatting of the search terms. I've used Logos search for years, but I suppose I could still be making a stupid mistake.

When I use the <place Sea of Galilee> search term, I get matching results:
When I use "Sea of Galilee" I get matching results.
I would have to go through the unmatched results one by one until I saw the pattern to explain why you get disparate results ... which I would do if I thought it was the search you wanted but somehow I didn't think a list form of an OR search was really what you wanted.

Thanks, MJ. There is something funny with my installation. I get the same thing as you do on your two right hand tabs. But the Media Search on the left tab I get the Atlas category but no results, and I don't get the Logos Media category at all.Very curious. I'll have to look into this more and call support, I guess.Again, thanks for your help and patience.

It is early in the morning Down Under; a bit of mist in the air[:D]
I get the same results from Media Search in the Atlas/Online/Logos Media Library sections whether initiated directly or from Everything! And I used both normal text and <Place ...>.

I'm not able to reproduce this problem; when I start a new Media Search I get all the online sections.

I found the bug: click "All Media", then uncheck all the checkboxes. (Just click the three top-level ones.)
It will go back to saying "All Media", but it will now search the online sections.

Thanks, Bradley. That did it. And thanks to MJ, Dave and Bob for helping me chase the phantom.
