Yosemite slow download

I have a new iMac with Yosemite and the download of my Logos 5 library is taking forever (2% of 6 GB in 24 hours).  I tried the solution of forcing it to rewrite some of the config system files and I tried an ethernet cable.  Neither worked.  Any suggestions?

Will Migration Assistant move it from my MacBook Air?

I moved mine with Migration Assistant - worked great.
