Can I have a link of some sort in a personal book which will launch a media player (such as Apple's Quicktime) in a new window and play a locally stored media file (such as mp3, m4a, mp4, etc.) on a PC?

If I can do this, or something like this, how do I do it?

I am running Windows 8.1, Logos 5 with a Platinum library.

Your kind consideration is appreciated.

It has been a VERY long time since I was a Windows users. At one time, I know that I used to be able to create hyperlinks in Word to open other files on the computer. Perhaps something like that would work... but I would have no idea how to do that now. I tried using google to figure it out, but I must have not been using the right search terms.

I've tried it before, and people suggested using hyperlinks. But I couldn't make it work for audio or video files.

Embedding the file failed (didn't show up within logos)

Hyperlinking sometimes failed and for reasons I couldn't nail down.

I ended up giving up.
