I am setting up my new laptop. Is it normal for Logos to take a very long time to download my library content? It seems like it has been at around the 50% point for quite some time....
Are you running on Yosemite? If so there have been some issues with downloading resources
If so, please advise and we can point you to some possible workrounds.
Yes, running Yosemite...
Since you're on Logos 5, you may wish to try the new workaround detailed in this blog post: https://medium.com/@mariociabarra/wifried-ios-8-wifi-performance-issues-3029a164ce94
At a Terminal, run:
sudo ifconfig awdl0 down
(This will have the side-effect of disabling AirDrop.)
You'll likely need to restart Logos after doing this, but it may be simpler to just restart the computer. We don't know for sure if this will fix download problems, but we'd be interested to know if it does (or doesn't) work for you.
Thanks for the tip!
I've tried running that command at terminal. But, it doesn't seem to have changed much....
Each time I open Logos, it shows a different gb amount being downloaded and a different percentage of completion. For example:
Now, I'm not completely familiar with terminal commands, so I hope that by just copy and pasting that in and pressing enter I did it right...
