Incredible! We have to pay extra for a decent help file!!!!

I was flabbergasted today to read in the latest Morris Proctor blog entry (on wikipedia) this: "For complete written instructions on all the new Logos 6 features, check out the Logos 6: What’s New? Manual". This leads to a manual product page that sells for $15. Apparently, there has not been time to release a decent revamping of the help file but there has been to make it into a commercial product!!!
Shocking. This should at least be included in every base package.

Its only fair to point out that this is produced by Morris Proctor's company and not by Logos.
Adam (from Faithlife) commented on this a few days ago (in the product review page) as below:
This manual is produced by an entrepreneur (www.mpseminars.com), which we sell here as a courtesy, but we also offer free training material. Below is a list to get started, and we are adding more all the time. If there is a specific feature you can't find training for, feel free to email me personally at adam.borries@faithlife.com.

I don't want to go rounds to webpages, youtube, forum threads and the wiki. Is it too much to ask to have a decent help file, you know, press F1 when you need to have an answer NOW instead of going on a trip that takes you away from your work?
In the absence thereof, the MP product is dangling like an indecent carrot. It says something like "do you prefer to wait indefinitely for an hypothetical overhaul of the help file" or "for only a bit more money, will you buy convenience right now"?

The price is not bad. But it is a print manual and not a manual integrated into Logos 6. Therefore, it is useless to me

This is a idea that should be considered for implementation along with integration into L6...

The day 6 was released, there were a number of posts in the forum RE the new features. I copied and pasted them - un-altered into word, and made a PB out of them.
It has some formatting issues...But its readable. Hope that helps.
Mj has some pretty drastic revision suggestions... May get to some of that after finals.L2 lvl4 (...) WORDsearch, all the way through L10,

Hey that is great. I missed this post. I like the suggestion that the MP help file be included in the upgrade even it there is a cost that goes along with it. If everyone received it not for $15 but for $5 extra for example, I am sure MP would make a bigger profit and we would all benefit from the file and Faithlife could put this issue that has plagued them, behind them.

Yes, that's a bummer. I can just see it: after having converted pretty much all my library to digital format, now I need to order a print book to know how to use it.
Well MP must be making a profit or he would not continue in this format. So there must be a market for the print version. Same seems to be true of the Bible Study Magazine. So if people like that format, that is fine. But it is no longer for me. I'm converted. I have seen the light and have been set free. My hands carry the burden no more! I have gone digital.
Try creating the pb book mentioned above. It probably is all you need.
