BUG: Crash if I Search for "Jesus Christ" from the homepage.

When I search for "Jesus Christ" from the homepage, Logos 6 wil crash. Any one else has the same problem? I'm running the Dutch version of Logos 6.

Computer specs (Logos runs on SSD):

1. Search from Homepage (I click on 'Jesus Christ' from the options that appear)

2. After a few seconds:

(Translation: Logos Bible Software does not work anymore. We are looking for a solution for the problem...)

3. A few seconds later:

(Translation: Logos doesn't work anymore. There has been a problem which makes the program not work properly any more. The program wil be shut down and a message will follow when there is a solution available)

Running the Logos beta in English on Windows 8.1. It also took a long time but didn't crash.

I'm running the Dutch version of Logos 6.

It looks like it might be specific to using the Dutch language setting.

Bram - can you enable diagnostic logging (details at https://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging) and upload logs after a crash?

Looking at the log it looks as though it may be related to accessing the Lightstock website (though I don't get a problem when I do so)

Try opening a Topic Guide from the Guides menu and using the sames search term there.

If you open the Lightstock section (probably at the bottom) does that work ok?

If that doesn't help track things down we will probably need someone from Faithlife to look at it

Hallo Graham,

I can search for "Jesus Christ" by opening the Topic Guide first. It will search without a problem. I can also click on the lightstock section and it will open the picture on the website. So thru the Topic Guide I can search.

I have also installed Logos on a laptop, so I tried to also search for "Jesus Christ" at the home page from that to see if the same problem appeared. And it did. So it is probably a problem with the Dutch version of Logos 6?

I am preaching about Mat 4:1-11, so I tried to search from the homepage for 'temptation' and the same problem appeared: Logos stopped working.

So it is and stays a problem in the (Dutch) system

I've (finally) upgraded to Logos 6 (6.0a SR-5) and I can confirm this bug. It isn't solely a problem with the Dutch interface though. I've tried the different UI languages with the following results:

Afrikaans: crash
Brazilian Portuguese: crash
Dutch: crash
English: no problems
French: no problems
German: crash
Italian: crash
Spanish: no problems (topic study on <tentacíon>)
Swedish: crash

(Fortunately one of my New Year's resolutions is improving my French... [;)])

Thanks for your reply and extensive testing. It is a bug alright! Hopefully Faithlife will look into this bug soon, because my French is not very good...
