[ACK] English (GB) spell checker doesn't flag incorrect spellings

This is with Logos 6.0b beta 3 on Windows 8.1

In the screenshot below "accusation" is spent incorrectly but the spell checker isn't indicating this

If I change the setting to US English then it is flagged correctly

Can we have GB spell checking please?

Thanks for pointing this out. The short answer for now is that the only way to guarantee that a language has spell check capability is if it is in the middle section. The top section contains suggested languages; languages the application thinks you are most likely to choose (the system language, the application UI language, and unknown or none). These languages may not have dictionaries available.

This UI has some complicated logic behind it that makes it not the most intuitive. For instance, although I just said that the middle section contains the languages with spell check dictionaries, there is actually one language in the top section with a dictionary (U.S. English). This language also happens to be the application UI language, so it is added to the top section instead of the middle.

Please be assured that we will be (and are) discussing internally ways of both improving this UI and the spell check system as a whole.

But I just wanted to check that the case which Angela raised at https://community.logos.com/forums/p/94063/653242.aspx#653242 (lack of GB spell check in notes) is still active.

It would be really useful to have this capability sooner rather than later - the presence of the GB language indicator in the top section made me think that it had been fixed

Such languages shouldn't be listed at all. User expectation.

I can see my language “Faroese” in the list of languages, but it doesn’t work in Logos 6….

I use it in Microsoft Office up to and the 2013 ed. And it works fine there, the "language installer" can be downloaded free of charge from this location: http://www.stava.fo/

The Danish spell check doesn’t work either

Would it be possible for you, to get these two languages working in Logos 6?
