With all this excitement about the C.S. Lewis Collection, here's some good recent news:

A previously unpublished and unknown letter from C.S. Lewis has been discovered inside a book, and it sheds some new insight on what he meant by the phrase "surprised by joy".

And what fun it was for me, as a Monty Python fan, to discover this: John Cleese reading Screwtape Letters! His seems to me to be the perfect voice for it.

Yes, I had bought the cassette version of John Cleese reading The Screwtape Letters years ago, but somehow lost it! He did a great job. But I have since found another version with Joss Ackland, who played Lewis in the BBC version of Shadowlands. Ackland's version has grown on me, too.

That does seem to be a perfect fit.
