BUG: Visual copy
Today I attempted to use Visual copy (accessed from the context (right-click) menu)to create a slide from the resource in the following screen shot:
This was the result:
I then attempted to create the slide by accessing Visual Copy from the Tools menu. Initially I got a blank slide. So I tried pasting the text into the "quote" box, resulting in:
Notice that it only pasted the first line of the text. I am running Logos 6 SR 6.0b SR-2 in Windows 8.1.

I don't see any problems. The resource is "versified," so you are picking up a "verse of the day" slide (the light blue one with "transformed" on it. If you click on one of the other slides, when it populates, you should see the right text. If not, please post screen shots. It could be a resource problem (I have a different version of that resource).

I don't see why the resource being versified has any bearing on what I am reporting. Regardless I highlighted a paragraph from the text of the resource and selected Visual Copy. Instead of populating the slide with selected text, Visual Copy zipped back to the last Bible text in the resource and created a slide for that. That is not how the tool is described as working in video from this thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/92611/642908.aspx#642908 . See the video at http://youtu.be/pMb6z2VnKuA?list=PLXkjd_l1xkSQ5fM605M-F5xikKNGBdPvj .
If the versification of a resource affects the way the tool works and that was intentional, it is a poor design, IMHO. I prefer to assume this is a bug and was un intentional until told otherwise by a Faithlife employee. If it is a resource dependent problem that would seem to me to make the bug a bigger problem. This tool should work the same in every case.

Versified resources are treated like bibles. You were at "2 Corinthians 3:18." There was a "verse of the day" slide for that verse. That verse was shown to you.

You have misunderstood. Try it again. As I said, you were in a versified resource and the slide shown is a "verse of the day" slide. Visual copy DID NOT make that slide. A graphic designer did some time ago. If you had clicked on one of the other choices, you would have seen exactly what you were looking for. See here:

Yes, Visual Copy DID produce that slide! Can you not see the name of the tool "Visual Copy" on the tab in the screen print. I have tried it many times and get the same results. BTW that slide backing is one of the backgrounds that come up in the left hand window of the tool. My post refers to the content of the slide NOT the background.
However I did try selecting the second background and got the same result you did. So I suppose that the real question is why is there an Verse of the Day showing up in the backgrounds when it is not used as a background? And why does the Verse of the Day take precedence over the function of the Visual Copy tool, which is to copy selected text to a slide? So I still see a bug here. What I am attempting to do is report the problem to Logos, so please stop trying to explain it away, as if it were normal.

I can reproduce this problem and have filed a bug.

I've filed a bug for this too.

This is probably not the best place to put this, but I do have a question (and perhaps suggestions for implementation) related to Visual Copy, so maybe someone can answer.
Is there anyway to adjust/set the "font size" to be consistent when coping more than one verse/one slide? As example, if you have a range of verses to display, and it takes more than one slide to display them, unless you are EXTREAMLY careful, to almost "count" the letters, they are different sizes; not the best for quick audio/visual!
Secondly...Please FIX the Psalms and other poetry etc. verses to be able to copy more than 1 line at a time!
Appreciate the response, and sorry if this is posted in the wrong place; Lent is a busy week!

Hi Preacherman
All good points with which I agree.
It is always best to start a new subject in a new thread. Once a matter gets dealt with people (busy) tend to skip threads that are likely only to contain the 'thank you' and 'you're welcome' posts.
