Is there a way to define a visual filter to highlight every city in the Bible?
I think in the NT you could go with Louw-Nida assignments (93.389 and up), in the OT probably one of the AFAT-morphology codes. This will be somewhat imprecise, though. AFAIK, the Logos-produced Sense-marker currently doesn't have entries for proper names:
EDIT: screenshots for the searches:
You can use Louw-Nida domains for the New Testament
Note you need to use two different domains - one for unnamed cities and one for names cities
You can work out the ranges by right-clicking on the terms seeing the specific Louw-Nida used for that term and then consulting the lexicon (in the left of the screenshot) to see exactly you want to include
I'm not aware of any easy way to do this in the OT using Logos 5
In Logos 6 you could create a filter using "sense" - but again you may need to use multiple search terms to get what you want. This does span Old and New Testaments but doesn't seem to work for "named towns". I'll flag that in the beta forum
Louw Nida has "Places" from 93.389 to 93.615, but includes countries etc in this range plus inhabitants of these places (which also includes Jews/Judeans), which makes this imprecise.
AFAT seems to work great, which of course requires the resource. (I think I've learned that from the forums some time ago)
Fair point
But because non-AFAT resources are no longer AFAT tagged it doesn't provide a filter which can be used for other translations
The question was about creating the filter, not about where it can be used. The LN-Filter wouldn't help in e.g. the HCSB, either.

Yet another fair point[:)]
