Logos 6.2 (6.2.0.0027) now available

Logos 6.2 (6.2.0.0027) is available for download.
If you have automatic updates turned on, 6.2 will be downloaded automatically the next time your system checks for updates. To install it right away, enter the Update Now command.
This release features:
- Prayer Lists and Inline Search are now available for all Logos 6 users regardless of base package. This requires you to be running 6.2 for the options to appear.
- Improvements to the handling of Prayer Lists and Reading Plans in the Home Page Sidebar.
- A redesign of the Resource Information panel in Library and from the "i" button in the top-right of the resource panel.
- Text in these fields is now able to be selected, including support info for resources.
- It's structured into collapsible sections, similar to Guides
- Title and Short title can be edited directly from the panel, which was not possible previously
- Numerous bug and crash fixes

Oops! I just made a post about this update! I am on my iMac 5k and with this update it's running much speedier and I can have multiple tabs open without it freezing on me. Thank you!

Thanks Faithlife folks!
Are any other Verbum users having problems trying to find the 1:1 aspect ratio in Visual Copy? My software still only shows 4:3 and 16:9 as choices.

Not all templates have the 1:1 aspect ratio available.
Here's an example search for a template that does show the ratio:
- Open Visual Copy
- Type in reference "John 15:15"
- Notice that the first image shows the "1:1" ration
Also there is a known issue where some of the templates incorrectly show duplicate 4:3 ratios when they should be showing “4:3, 16:9 and 1:1”.

Lucky you that your update is going smooth. I am on mac also and as usual it will not update. Just went through the hassle of jumping through hoops and calling CS again to update a couple weeks ago and now I must do it again...sighs. Wish Logos would fix these issues as they have been a pain in the neck for so long. Everytime I have to update it is a different "trick" has to be discovered to make it update.

Can anyone tell me why Logos notifies me, by the yellow bar on home page, that update are ready to be installed then when I type "update" in the command bar it then informs me there are no updates? I have been trying for an hour now to update. Even went to the order page and redownloaded the core and still no progress.

I think from what you are describing that the updates are downloading and are ready to be installed - but the "update" command checks to see whether there are any updates to download
So it sounds as though you have resources to install - do you have a button on the yellow bar advising you to "update now"?

If I understand what you are describing... It <sounds> like the update has already downloaded, and it is "ready to be installed." When you type "update now" in the command bar, it comes back with nothing... because it has already downloaded. You should be able to click on either the yellow bar OR the blue notification icon to restart Logos... but you could also simply close logos and restart manually.

If you downloaded the core engine, you DID download the update. When you download the core engine fresh, it should ALWAYS be the newest release version.

yes I downloaded the core engine and installed it. Now when I start Logos it says my resources are not comparable with this version and I need to upgrade to version 6.2, which is the file I just upgraded to. Now Logos does not open at all.
Graham, when I clicked the yellow bar to Update the installer starts then gives me error that undates cannot be installed at this time to please try later. This has been an issue for me with every upgrade since Logos 6 was released. I am at my wits end after spending two hours trying to update and now Logos will not open at all.
BTW the first time I re-downloaded the core engine and opened the program I clicked on "about this software" and it read that I was still using version 6.1 so I am not sure it is downloading the newest core version 6.2 whatever.

Yes I have seen from some of your other posts that you have been having problems - I think there were some permission issues in the past

You should be able to get the latest setup files from https://www.logos.com/product/46767/logos-6-core-engine#requirements if there is any doubt over what you have
The only thing I can suggest is that you start a new thread and explain exactly what is going on. Alternatively you would need to contact Customer Services again

OK, so I download the core engine and install the .dmg then when I attempt to open Logos here is what I get. (screen shot attempt here.

That is the file I downloaded Graham and after install and start it tells me I need version 6.2. I have no logos anymore as I am just stuck in a vicious circle. Guess another call to CS.

Screenshot isn't displayed - are you using the paperclip icon?

May be the best plan

yep, I had hoped that the adjustment of the prayer list and reading plans would have dealt with the opening issue of the devotional bible reading plan, but not such luck, it still opens with the exegetical guide and explorer.[:(]

It seems that my post apart from the smiley isn't registering. The issue I have is that I had hoped that the improvement of the reading plan list would let the reading plan open with just the text of the daily scripture portion without the exegetical guide and explorer, but not such luck.

I agree that would be nice but it is still an open issue

Well I called support yesterday and they got me all fixed up. We had to do a team viewer remote session but the tech was able to fix things. For those of you on macs having problems with the yellow bar not updating for you here is a detailed fix from the CS tech support team that should help. The tech was unsure if this would fix the problem on future updates but it works for now.
For those interested it having it below is the url

13.31 gigs of downloading!
Little extreme. I have uber high download capability and started downloading about 2.5 hours ago and I'm only at 67% complete.
Anyway, thanks for all the hard work you folks do.
mm.

That... Doesn't sound right. The only thing I can think of quickly is that something triggered a redownload of your entire library. The 6.2 update was nowhere near that. Thankful you have very high download capability! When it's done, could you post your logs, or even just LogosIndexer.log? I'm curious as to what happened.

Well it's all done without any indexing, so she's all good.

I had something similar, but it was only 1/10th of your problem (~1.3 GB)
