one verse per line in ESV

Ok, I have gone to the three dots (resource filters) and chosen, "resource" and then only checked the "one verse per line" box.  However even after quitting and loading again, I'm not seeing the change.  I'm wanting to have the number for each verse show up on the left side only (left justified?).
