[resolved] A question about the "notification icon" in 6.3 beta 1
I have just downloaded a resource which is nicely indexing in the background and there is another download pending (which I am leaving until the current indexing completes)
However if I hover my mouse over the notification icon I just get told about the pending download - which confused me as I knew indexing was taking place.
If I click on the icon I get both pieces of information
In this scenario - and probably in most I can think of - should the hover show all relevant information?

I just wanted to post about this. Don't know what the internal spec says should happen, but I wish it was giving all relevant info on hover.
Edit: feeling like on the road to Emmaus here, but how come you're the only user of Beta 1 not being afflicted with the "click to restart" known issue?

It looks like he is being afflicted by it (though not complaining about it, probably because he already knows it's a known issue). Notice the yellow/orange bar across his screen? That will say "click to restart" over on the left side (cropped off the screenshot).

I found a different one instead - https://community.logos.com/forums/p/103703/717096.aspx#717096 [:)]

No, given the tooltip we have it will ask him to download. But that's my wrong thinking, since the bug only appears when there is nothing new to be downloaded.

Interestingly it doesn't.
I've just picked up a free Vyrso book and it successfully downloaded and indexed - after it was complete there are no outstanding notifications
During indexing I had (for example)
After indexing just:

These new screenshots do not prove that the orange horizontal bar you showed before did not say "click to restart." It's gone now so you can't tell, but I bet it did. That's the "known issue" bug.

The Release Notes say it "may" afflict you. I haven't seen it.

I think the "most important" notification appears in the tooltip or Notification Bar. It makes sense to have all notifications on hover, but then you have to click to see and perform any associated action (restart, cancel, pause etc.). Our feedback will help refine things at this early stage.

Thanks for the feedback. I've created a case to make this change.

This should be fixed in 6.3 Beta 3.
