What if I change my mind...?
...and don't want the 3.06 gb download? Can I cancel easily enough?

Got an answer. Simply unfollowing Faithlife group is supposed to stop downloading the resources. And you can rejoin at another time.
EDIT: However, it is still wanting to download these resources... And now we're crashing repeatedly

Jonathan, it is not that easy. I removed three files deep in the Logos directory called Metadata.db, Updates.db and Updates.db-journal. That fixed it. I would suggest a call or online chat with tech support to walk you through the process. I would hate to make matters worse for you by trying to walk you through the process not know if you are Mac or Windows etc.

Thanks John. Did you have the resources already downloaded?

No. Once they are downloaded this does not work. However, in another post it appears Logos (Faithlife) may be working on a solution for those that only want to test for 30 days that would remove the resources. If you have downloaded, you may want to just enjoy the resources and be patient and see what they come up with.

Ok. I have not downloaded them yet either. I believe I found the latter two files. What folder contains the Metadata.db file? I'm working on a Mac.

The files are in the Logos4/Data/your number/UpdateManager and Updates directories. Make sure you have the files available to restore if something goes wrong. I did this without instructions from support, but it worked.

Thanks again.
I suspect that I also deleted a file connected to three resources I purchased today also. So they are not downloading. This cloud trial is turning into a major mistake for me.

So the big download is gone? I would contact support on the 3 resources you want to download.

why so? The command "update resources" should compare his library with his licences and trigger the redownload of the three missing ones.

Hi Mick,
Sorry, I just assumed he did that and it did not work. Thanks for pointing this out.

We have a fix for this internally, and an update will be shipping soon. You will be able to cancel the download, and then use the "update resources" command to clear all the pending downloads.

What about those of us who cancelled Cloud after receiving the download?

I have no information beyond what I saw posted here: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/105692/731742.aspx#731742

Thanks for the response.
It is no big deal as I have disk space to spare, but not everyone is this privileged [8-|]
BTW: After cancelling Cloud, I still had four resources on Athanasius that I have not purchased—At least, I don't remember purchasing them. Could you tell me where these came from? These do interest me.

This blog post seems to indicate that they're part of the Logos Now subscription:

You do actually have both Verbum Now and Logos Now.

I canclled my clous trial about 12 hours ago and I just recently did the "update resources" command and my download quote went from just under 4GB to almost 7GB. Somethings seems to not have worked. I am unable to download that kind of dataload. I am only on 10GB a month.
Is there another solution to removing the need to download all the extra resources. I was definitely under the wrong impression when I got invited to the group on day one that I was joining an online tool likely through apps.logos.com.
Thanks for any help.
Cheers
Ben

This has shipped with 6.4 Beta 3.

Thank you for this information!
I accidentally subscribed to Logos Cloud and it took some time for me to find out how to get rid of it. My small SSD drive has only 10GB of free space, so I don't want to download all that stuff just for one month. I had turned automatic updates off in Logos settings, so it wasn't a big task after I found your instructions here.
I just unsubscribed from the Faithlife Logos Cloud group, waited a day to see the extra resources were gone from my account (I checked it from my Logos iPad version library), deleted those 3 files, restarted Logos and wrote "update now" to command box.
By the way, I found several old Logos 5 and Logos 6 installer files under the UpdateManager/Installers folder. They can be safely deleted to save some space (just leaving the most recent one there if the installation gets broken somehow).
Faithlife Connect + several Base Packages + Luther's Works, etc.
Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260, Win 10 Pro, Intel Core i7-6500U, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Intel HD Graphics 520.
iPhone 11.0 -
Glad it helped. FYI Faithlife is solving this issue as well as removal of the licensed resources in their next update.
