How can I remove an unwanted hyperlink?

You'll see below that, for some reason (?), the phrase "Am I" was automatically hyperlinked to Amos 1 (as seen in pic) by L4. I wish it wouldn't do that, but that's life I suppose. My problem is that I can't remove it. When I erase the "Amos I' in the hyperlink box it returns as soon as move back to my note. 

How can I remove this unwanted hyperlink?

Okay, I should have looked harder before posting. I found a solution here - although it's a "clunky" solution at best.
