When doing a search for "spiritual songs" in the:

The Holy Bible: King James Version. Electronic Edition of the 1900 Authorized Version. ed. Bellingham, WA : Logos Research Systems, Inc., 2009

only Colossians 3:16 is returned. When I change the Bible to:

The Holy Bible: King James Version. electronic ed. of the 1769 edition of the 1611 Authorized Version. ed. Bellingham WA : Logos Research Systems, Inc., 1995

I get both Ephesians 5:19 and Colossians 3:16.

Is anyone else having search issues?

I can reproduce this using the iPad app - I can't access my desktop at the moment.

I wonder if it is anything to do with having the "yy" as a cross-reference indicator between the two words in the 1900 version.

seems like a tagging error: Logos believes, in KJV 1900's Eph these words are two words apart (found by WITHIN 2-2 WORDS), but doesn't recognize 'yysongs' as a word.

This looks like an indexing bug. As NB.Mick points out, "spiritual BEFORE 2-2 WORDS songs" finds a hit, but "spiritual songs" doesn't.

It doesn't affect every footnote; "as Christ" finds "as hiChrist" in Eph 5:23, for example. I've filed a bug report and we'll investigate.

Probably an Indexing error as it copes with one character footnote indicators. Changing yy to a single character indicator would fix it, though!

Edit: just saw Bradley's response. I'm glad he agrees!
