In TIP of the day: CORRECTED: Controlling the display format of Bibles many of the available resource visual filters were discussed. This post illustrates most of the remaining filters. I have not found an example of "Popular Highlights".

1. Like Bibles, some lexicons (BDAG, BDB, HALOT) have a special filter - "Outline formatting". This is the default view of the BDAG, looking like any other resource but with an additional filter option under Resource.

2. This shows the effect of the "Show page numbers" option.

3. This is the same entry with the "Outline formatting" option set. The sole purpose of this filter is to make the lexicon easier to read.

4. This is an example of "Emphasize active references" which will highlight references active in any panel. Note that sympathetic highlighting shows in gray while active references appear in pink.

5. This is an example of the "Timeline event" option. Note the open flags indicate that the event date is not tied to the Timeline. Dark flags indicate that the event date is tied to the Timeline.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

A popular highlight example - indicated by the underline in the text and the pencil icon

When the filter is turned off the highlights disappear
