TIP of the day: Showing Bible footnotes in the same translation as the Bible itself
1. Yes, this is one of my major irritants in using Logos/Verbum but there is a way around it. My normal highest priority Bible is either in NRSV or the NABRE depending upon the type of work I am doing. However, for researching forum answers I often use the ESV. But when I hover over a reference in the ESV, I get the verse in my highest priority Bible not the ESV.
2. To solve this problem, I must first unite the two portions of the ESV translation into a series by selecting them, opening the library information panel (circle I) and assigning a series name.
3. Open the prioritization panel in the library, drag-and-drop the ESV to the priority list. Note that the series is automatically prioritized by default.
4. Click on the right-hand side of the entry to open the menu. Select "Set prioritization limits (advanced)"
5. For "of this type" select "Bible"; it is not necessary to set an "in this range" value.
6. Set "from this resource" to the ESV.
7. Repeat the process for the Apocrypha portion of the ESV.
8. You now have two advanced priority entries:
9. Now when I hover over a reference in the ESV, the ESV translation is shown. Note that the popup window no longer shows the translation as it did in the first step.
Just repeat this process for every Bible that contains references and Logos will now show the verse in the same translation as you are reading.

Nice trick, now along the same lines, for books that have a reference to the LXX what would be the best way to have the pop up display an LXX translation instead of your preferred Bible? I've just been having an LXX open with the "send hyperlinks here" selected. Is there a better way?
Also, on a side note, I've been trying to read every "tip of the day" and greatly benefiting, do you plan to update the reading list you created, which stopped at 94 (even though there have been several tip-of-the-days since then)? I've been resorting to a google search and then filtering results to only last month, and then displaying them by date, but the reading list on the home page sure is convenient and I've got a few other Pastors here set up and watching for the latest tips on the home page.
Thanks for all your efforts. It is a blessing to many :-)

Yes, the reading list will be updated ... but I fear that for a while, my time will be tight and my attention to TIPs will be limited. My sister was visiting last week, next week my son moves, the following week I move and my daughter returns to the Northwest. After 30+ years in the same house with 3 kids leaving stuff behind, moving is a bit chaotic.[^o)]
I'll double check the trick for LXX ... and post back.
