Step-by-step instructions are provided by Logos here:

Also, the Logos Wiki has additional information:

For clarification: "Logos 6" is a desktop application, not a mobile one. I assume you mean that you have purchased a "Logos 6 Base Package" (confusing, I know).

Daniel provided the links you need (also found in my signature line), but to answer your question directly:

  1. Download the software engine
  2. Enter your credentials (email/password)
  3. Allow resources to download and index.

One thing to remember is that one has free access to 70+ free resources on the mobile app, but there are only a few free resources you can get and install on your desktop. Faithlife study Bible Lexham Bible dictionary and the Lexham English Bible are the primary free resources, that said Vyrso has numerous free books that change daily and every month Logos and Verbum offer free books of the month, and Noet blog offers a free book every Friday. So Faithlife has a lot of free things to offer just not as many as you might have at once on your iPAD, I just wanted to avoid you being disapointed with the Desktop Logos since more than a few people have been crestfallen to find those 70 books are not on their computer. Indeed if you tried to download any of those books to your iPad for offline use you would get the message this can not be downloaded without a licence.
