TIP of the day: controlling Timeline content.
Note: there are some shortcomings and at least one bug in this area - so we'll hope this post needs updated soon.
1. One can control the subject of timeline by selecting/deselecting items from the dropdown Subjects menu. Note the definitions are not documented and the Biblical selection includes only the shorter canon.
2. One can also control the type of events shown. Several elements in this dropdown menu can be expanded. There is a "select all" option on the upper right. There is a search box to search for a particular type of event to turn it on/off. A check mark means all sub-items are selected; a slash indicates only some a selected; a blank means no sub-items are selected. Clicking on a blank box on a heading line will turn all sub-items on. One cannot turn all types off.
3. A reminder: when you are selecting a small group of timeline entries, you will sometimes get what appears to be a blank screen. Use the "Show all matching events" option under Fit to display the results - or enter the appropriate timeframe if you know it.
4. The selection box allows you to do a basic Find function on Timeline entries. Some basic logical relationships are supported:
- space or "AND" for a logical and
- comma or "OR" for a logical or
- ANDNOT
Note you cannot specify a particular individual when a name is ambiguous i.e. <person>-type selection is not supported.
5. Citation information is available in the information panel invoked by the I in a circle:
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
