Hi and thank you for your help.

I had to format my HDD after some windows files crashed. I have downloaded the logossetup.exe file, ran it and it also ran the updates. What I now don't understand is this:

1. It has updates 47 resources but I only have 5 books in my library. Only the Faithlife Study Bible is installed.

2. All my shortcuts are also missing.

I am signed in.

Can someone please advise as to what I am doing wrong.

Thank you very much.
Deon

Welcome! Sorry you are having troubles. Tongue Tied

Deon Holtzhausen:
I am signed in.

Can you verify that you are signed in with the correct username & password?

This confuses me. If "only the faithlife study bible" is "installed," how is it that you have "5 books" in your library?

Have you tried restarting your computer? Have you allowed enough time for your books to download AND index? Is your library filtered in any way? (If you type anything into the library search box, it will hide everything that doesn't meet the criteria you typed).

Thank you so very much for your reply.

I have discovered that I signed in with a very old username & password. Embarrassed

In the mean time I have discovered a backup of Logos 6 from 2 September. How can I use this backup to copy everything to the new installation. It will save me a lot of download time and gigabytes.

Thank you once again.

Thank you very much for the link.

I have done the following:
1. Deleted the three folders as mentioned2. Started Logos, signed in and because I have unplugged the cable, chose to work off-line.
3. Logos started up with almost nothing on the page.
4. I entered "scan d:\6.5.0.0044" in the command line.
5. Waited a minute or so. Only got the pop-up telling me that it is indexing and can take a while. Nothing after this.
6. Re-started Logos, cable plugged in. (I have tried it unplugged as well.)
7. Nothing happens.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

Thank you once again.

If you have just 47 resource, just do a fresh install. Redownload all files.

Likely. I don't understand this:

Deon Holtzhausen:
I entered "scan d:\6.5.0.0044" in the command line.

Why did you type "6.5.0.0044"? You should be typing the direct path to the specific folder where the resources are stored. Also, is "d" a portable drive? It IS connected to your computer, right?

Quite a number of things:-

1. You didn't replace the deleted folders; and

2. you went offline

3. this was inevitable...having gone offline

4. Used the wrong folder

To rectify:-

  • go online and sign in
  • let the resources download & index

Hi all.

Thank you so much for your help. Yes, the main thing was that I did not read properly. I did not read the part that says delete the folders and copy back from backup. Once I have done that, Logos was up and running with 6 sources to download.
Thank you once again.

God bless.
