Beta releases during the Christmas season

Due to reduced staff during the Christmas holidays, 6.9 Betas 1 and 2 will only be available for manual download. Automatic updates will resume with 6.9 Beta 3, and the six week update schedule will continue uninterrupted. Support and bug fixes will likely have longer than normal response times.
Merry Christmas!

Hi Dylan;
Does this mean that we will need to manually update until March or April?
Thanks

The pattern is that a new beta is released each week so it is manual Dec 22 - Jan 5
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thanks MJ, I have lost track of the actual release times, so I was thinking that beta 1 equals 6 weeks, beta 2 equals 6 weeks later, etc.
Dec. 22 - Jan 5 makes sense and coincides with the Christmas season.

To confirm, MJ is correct. We'll resume auto-updates in early January.

So it's Thursday. Will there be a Beta 1 this week?

We don't typically release a beta the same week we release an update to the main update channel. Beta 1 should be early next week, we will be putting a link in the forums for downloading it.

That's fine. With Dylan's announcement I was a bit uncertain (as he usually announces the new beta releases).
I imagine many of us will be occupied in other ways the next couple of weeks. Hope everyone at FL gets to enjoy Christmas and New Year's.
