To reproduce:

  1. Select some text in a resource, right-click, and choose "Visual Copy".
  2. Note that the "Body Text" and "Author" fields are filled appropriately.
  3. Click "Change" at the top of the templates, so we can narrow down the templates to something more appropriate.
  4. Note that the "Body Text" and "Author" fields are still filled appropriately.
  5. Enter some filter text (e.g. "black", "red", or "mountain") and press enter.

  • The "Body Text" and "Author" fields have now been emptied!

Expected result:

  • That the "Body Text" and "Author" fields would retain their contents.

Additional note:

  • Now there are so many templates, it's useful to be able to filter them. However, it's frustrating that when you do so you can't exclude VotD slides and other slides that are of no value in this context. It would be very useful if VotD slides were not shown when Visual Copy is supplied with a quote and author name.

We have an active case for this. I have added a link to this forum post so we will update you once these improvements have been made.
