I have a SurfacePro 4 (i5, 8mb) running Windows 10.

When I start my system and open only Logos it seems to take a very large potion of system resources. It typically is something along these lines.

Logos Bible Software 2.5% CPU, 629MB memory (highest of all processes)

LogosCEF 27% CPU (highest of all processes), 400MB memory (2nd highest of all processes)

LogosCEF (#2) 4.5% CPU, 28.7MB memory

No other programs are running, No Logos resources are downloading, syncing, or indexing.

Does this seem out-of-the-ordinary to you?

For how long are you seeing this - just on Logos startup or all of the time?

How many resources/guides do you have open. That's very high if you have a blank desktop. It's not particularly high if you have dozens of open resources.

I'm having the same issue also on a Surface Pro 4. Started 2-3 days ago. It even happens when on just the home screen with no resources open.

That's odd. I wonder if there's a problem with HiDPI displays on Windows? Does any one else have a very high resolution display to check this with?

Thanks for pointing this out. There was a new message posted to some home page feeds that used animated gifs. The animation was causing the home page to refresh and redraw the entire screen repeatedly.

We've since corrected the issue in the original post and you should now see normal CPU usage while on the home page.

We've also made a note to avoid animated gifs in the future so this doesn't happen again.

Thanks - it seems to have calmed down on the CPU side - though memory usage is still 630mb for LBS and 240MB for LogosCEF
