Trying to load WBC 59vols CD but it is not automatically running when I put it into my CD drive. Nor is D:\SETUP. What should I do?

I assume that you can 'see' your CD via Windows Explorer. Correct?

When you look at the CD, do you see an autorun.inf file? If you do, right click on that and choose "Install." That should work.

If it doesn't you could have a bad spot on the CD, or some other issue (which are too numerous to mention).

If you bought the CD from Logos, there is one more thing to try, if the above doesn't work:

  1. From your browser navigate to https://www.logos.com/user/MyOrders
  2. Find your order, and click on the order number on the left.
  3. On that page look for the line that says "Download Instructions for Previous Versions" and click on that line.
  4. There should be instructions there for downloading/running an update script (along with a confirmation) that should get you going.

If you bought the CD from another company, your order may not be on the Logos site. In that case, if none of the above works, you may have to contact that company.

Report back if you have success, or not.

No but you can get to it from there. If you double clcik on My Computer then double click on the D drive icon, what opens up is Windows Explorer.

Tell us what you see listed under your D: drive when you do this.

Do you have Logos 3 or Logos 4?

Autorun is what you want to happen. Did you already try double clicking on that? (You can also right click and choose 'Open' or 'Run' depending on which one shows up)

If that doesn't work try running setup.exe.

Please report any messages that come up when you try these things.

Another thing to check is the back side of the disc to see if it is clean. I've received some damaged CDs that wouldn't load no matter what I tried.

Logos 4

In order to load from a disk you will need to do one of the following

  1. Install Logos 3. Then your autorun function will work. Once you register your product using the serial # you can sync you licenses from Logos 3. Then in Logos4 type "Update Resources" then you will begin downloading WBC into Logos 4.
  2. Alternatively, you could call customer service tell them your serial number and have them manually enter the license so you can begin downloading your WBC books.

This is why for those running Logos4, always buy downloadable resources if there's an option...and keep L3 installed on at least one of your computers so you are able to load disc-based products and register them, thus making them available in L4.

I had to install L3 again first. Then open L4
