Why is Encyclopedia Britannica still gathering interest? Shouldn't that be under development by now? We've been waiting quite a long time for this! Can anyone give us concrete answer?
Mike McKnelly: Can anyone give us concrete answer?
The answer was given a long time ago.
When the resource was deemed to be "not as advertised," FL went about trying to "make it right." A part of that meant that a brand new resource needed to be created. Anyone who had ordered the first time around will receive the item for what they already paid. However, the new resource will have quite a bit of additional expenditures for FL. In light of this, it has been put back into pre-pub. That has absolutely no bearing on what work is being done now (it is in active development). Once the item is ready to ship, it will leave pre-pub and be sold as a regular item. The extension of pre-pub (at a higher rate than before) is simply to bring in new users to help fund the development (and allow more to get in at a discounted rate).
From today:
Ben Amundgaard: It is indeed in active development. We put the product back up on pre-pub to give people an opportunity to pre-order the product.
