Environment:

  • Logos 6.11 on Windows 10.

To reproduce:

  1. Open the Text Comparison tool.
  2. Select Brenton LXX En as one of the Bible version (it can be the only Bible version or one of several).
  3. Run a Text Comparison for Esther 2:14.

Result:

  • CPU usage goes up, and you get a progress indicator, but Text Comparison never completes.

Expected result:

  • The Text Comparison displays as normal.

There is some other parameter that causes this error as I do not get the problem. I'm running Verrbum with the NRSV as my highest priority Bible.

LXX-S Esther A:12 also works.

I have the 2011 NIV as my most highly prioritised Bible.

Replicated using Verbum 6.11 SR-1 on Windows 7:

Note: 13 % CPU usage on a quad core i7 with Hyper-threading = one CPU pegged at 100 %

Manually changed verse range for Text Comparison has quick response:

Choose Pericope for Esther 2:12-18 (from drop-down) has CPU pegged (with spinning cursor in Text Comparison), but manually changing verse range has quick response:

I can repro after prioritising this, and have filed a bug.

Mark,

This should be working correctly, it was likely fixed by the new comparison tool.
