Mac users, can you try to reproduce this bug???
There seems to be a bug in Visual Copy for Mac users ONLY. However, many of you may not be aware that it's there unless you accidentally stumbled across it attempting to edit text on a slide. I'm just curious how Visual Copy performs for other Mac users. Wondering if you would attempt to reproduce this error, in order to see what happens in your environment. Please reply with your results and with your specs, so maybe we can determine a common link.
[Note: You will be more likely to reproduce the error if you chose a verse that has spacing formatting, such as poetic verses like Joel 2 (or any non-prose passage), as the error involves trying to correct the extra spacing VC builds into the slides.]
1) Opening any Bible (I use ESV mostly), right click on a verse (I chose Joel 2:1), select Reference (right) and then Visual Copy (on the left). This will launch the VC feature.
2) VC will then open. Scroll down to chose a slide template (do this to note another issue, that Logos will NOT remember the last slide you chose, as it is now supposed to). I chose the blue bubbles slide - but Logos will NEVER remember that I previous chose it, and thus will never re-present it to me as my first choice. This is a separate, though possibly related, issue).
Now, note the spacing for lines 2, 3, 4 below. VC has indented them, since the passage is in poetic form. However, this indentation causes a spill over on to another line (see how "tremble", which is a part of line 3 of the verse, is pushed onto another line, thus pushing line 4 of the verse into line 5 on the slide. Also see how line 4 of the verse also takes "is near" to line 6 on the slide).
3) At this point, I will try to correct the text to delete the spacing that causes the lines to run on to another line. This will increase the font size since there will be less characters present on the slide. Notice how much larger, and thus more readable on a presentation screen, the slide text is.
4) Now, here's the kicker. Go back to the Bible that is open, and click on your next verse to create a slide for it (I did Joel 2:2). (Note that it did not remember the blue bubbles slide, but as I said, thats a peripheral issue).
So, I click on the blue bubbles template, and then begin to edit the text again, to delete spacing and thus make the font larger. This is where it just hangs up, as below:
No matter how long you wait, it will not generate a slide.
5) Now attempt to close VC. Once you do, you inevitable hang up the entire framework (which is YET another issue, as I read in release notes a while back that a VC hang up was no longer supposed to cause a Logos-wide hangup, and that Logos would now recover from a VC crash without hanging up itself. Evidently, this is NOT the case).

I don't use VC that much, and I don't use it in the way you are... but I can reproduce the issue. The forums won't let me upload my logs at present, but I will do so when I can.
EDIT: Here are my logs. I used "sample." 5415.LogosLogs.20160427-142151.zip

This has been going on for a while. Wonder what the issues are? Alternatives?

We hope to ship an improvement in this panel in 6.12 Beta 3.

Ryan,
This does indeed fix the hang up, but still does not fix the likely related issue where VC will not remember the last slide used. I believe I read where this was fixed / added some time back, but has never worked right for me on a Mac. I was hoping this would fix that too.
But THANK YOU for fixing the primary issue here!
