TIP of the day: Interactives: Interactive Infographics from the Faithlife Study Bible
1. The next interactive I will discuss is the Interactive Infographics from the Faithlife Study Bible. To get an idea of the relationship between in Inforgraphics in the FSB and the interactive, I run a basic search on the FSB using the search argument #image which finds 1,333 images
2. I open the FSB to see how these images appear in the study bible.
3. I open the Faithlife Study Bible Infographics resource in the usual manner - library or command box.
4. I then compare the FSB resource to the interactive in overview mode to see differences in how they are presented.
5. I click on Ancient Altars and note a variety of "common elements" - the ability to return to the overview page from the Overview button of the Back button, the ability to expand or close the left information panel, the blue highlights for Factbook links within the description; a list of information links - here Factbook but also including passage references and other informational links.
6.In this case, one select a specific altar from a top ribbon (or use previous/next arrows) and the image and left panel content changes appropriately. There is not consistency among the infographics on internal navigation or left panel information although there are a limited number of methods used.
7. The Armor of God inforgraphic navigates via a drop down menu and previous-next arrows.
8. Coins of the Gospel navigates by a ribbon and links to the FSB resource from the interactive.
9.This is the FSB resource version.
10. The Priestly Garment infographic.
11. Solomon's Temple
12. Selecting the Holy of Holies detail from Solomon's Temple.
13. The Tabernacle.
14. The Ancient Hebrew Conception of the Universe.
15. Note that the images can he enlarged or shrunk via the mouse wheel.
16. the prior/next item arrows are on the upper right ... mentioned previously but not identified.
17. Running a library filtered for Faithlife Study Bible, I note that the Bible People Visual Timelines are also presented both as an FSB element and as an Interactive.
18. The overview view of the Interactive for Bible People Visual Timelines.
19. The same resource for Abraham shown within the FSB.
