Crossway Library Expansion Bundle (127 vols.)

I remember Mark Barnes asking for a mega-bundle of Crossway books. Well, here it is:

It has Dynamic Pricing but does not have the "New to you" drop down so we can see hat we would be getting. Hard to justify this kind of expense without seeing what we would get that is new, maybe that is coming?

Yeah. I am hoping that will show up soon.

I would so order this if the old payment plan was still in effect. Bummer.

Good point, Don.
I am "hovering" over a very minor dynamic price discount but have no indication what that is.
Boo [:(]

I am going to take an educated guess and say all those Crossway titles I previously ordered are probably in this collection.

I ordered a bunch of Crossway titles a couple months ago when they were first offered. I bet those are in this collection. I will look tomorrow and see.

Yep, that's why I passed on the 20 NICOT vols. I was interested in. My payment plan was gonna get chopped down to 14 months and monthly payments would have gone sky high for me. Like a car payment. I'll just have to settle for a standard upgrade next time around, the other denominational bp's might not get upgraded; no way I could afford them. New payment plans remind me of Wordsearch's plans. They'd give you a $400 bucks resource and you'd have to pay it off in 3 installments and that still didn't keep the company from being sold later...hopefully that won't happen to Logos...getting sold...

Traditionally, most pre-pubs have never had a new-to-you. There have been exceptions for base packages and the master journal bundle, I think.
I'm showing a dynamic pricing discount of $119.25. I checked my library manually, and found that the vast majority of resources I already own were Vyrso books. Filtering your library by Vyrso books published by Crossway might be a quick-start in finding those you already own.
For the record, here are mine (the ones in italics are already Logos editions, the others are Vyrso):
- Anyabwile, Thabiti M. et al. 2009. Proclaiming a Cross-Centered Theology. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
- Anyabwile, Thabiti M., and John Piper. 2007. The Faithful Preacher: Recapturing the Vision of Three Pioneering African-American Pastors. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
- Ayers, David et al. 2006. Recovering Biblical Manhood and Womanhood: A Response to Evangelical Feminism. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
- Bridges, Jerry, Bob Bevington, and Sinclair B. Ferguson. 2007. The Great Exchange: My Sin for His Righteousness. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
- Dallimore, Arnold. 1990. George Whitefield: God’s Anointed Servant in the Great Revival of the Eighteenth Century. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
- Dever, Mark. 2008. 12 Challenges Churches Face. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
- Dever, Mark, and Paul Alexander. 2005. The Deliberate Church: Building Your Ministry on the Gospel. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
- Dever, Mark et al. 2007. Preaching the Cross. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
- Dever, Mark, and Graeme Goldsworthy. 2006. The Message of the Old Testament: Promises Made. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
- Dever, Mark, and John F. MacArthur Jr. 2005. The Message of the New Testament: Promises Kept. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
- Grudem, Wayne. 2000. The Gift of Prophecy. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
- Roberts, Mark. 2007. Can We Trust the Gospels? Investigating the Reliability of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
- Ryken, Leland. 2009. Understanding English Bible Translation: The Case for an Essentially Literal Approach. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
- Ryken, Philip Graham, and Michael LeFebvre. 2011. Our Triune God: Living in the Love of the Three-in-One. Wheaton, IL: Crossway.
I'm getting a discount of 10.4%, and I own 17 resources which is 13.3% of the total. Although that's a very rough measure (it's value that matters, not quantity) I'd expect a slightly better discount than that. So I too, would appreciate seeing the "New to You" section, so I can determine whether Logos has accurately credited me for all those Vyrso books.
This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!

Thanks for all that hard work Mark, but seriously? You are too kind.
For a purchase price of over $1000, they don't even tell us what specifically we will get, in effect saying "You figure out what books you will be buying?
I'll choose to think for now it's coming. There is no way I spend that kind of money making my own assumptions as to what I will be purchasing. This isn't dynamic pricing on a 4 book collection.

I'm showing a dynamic pricing discount of $37.00. If I have so little of the bundle I won't spend the time to find out what books they might be.

Could it be the $37 dynamic pricing discount is there because of the duplicate volumes contained within the bundle?

Too much money for me. Even the IVP bundle seems too much for the type of content ($325 for me).

Why don't they show us what we already own?

My dynamic pricing discount is $ 11.92 that appears to be one eBook (manual library check may have missed another):
- How to Argue like Jesus: Learning Persuasion from History’s Greatest Communicator by Joe Carter and John Coleman
Keep Smiling [:)]
