For my Opticbook, its a special scanner designed for scanning books. It's scanning glass goes right to the edge, so you can scan each page flat. But you have to do each page by hand. Scan, turn the book over to the next page, then scan again. You can see a demo video below:

For my Scansnap, its a beast. Its an autofeed that scans about 25 pages per minute, front and back at 300 DPI. Its a little slower at 600 DPI, which is what I scan my books in. If I set the pages right, I can put in a stack of 120 or so and just let it do its thing. I scanned 1,200 pages at 600 DPI in an hour and 45 minutes.

If you want to scan your books without destroying them, get an Opticbook. If you don't mind destroying them, get a Scansnap. That ones great for digitizing regular documents too. Very rarely does it jam, and its fantastic at only pulling one sheet through at a time.

Chris K:
Hopefully, Logos will support the integration of Personal Books in the Mobile Platforms soon!

This is currently not on the roadmap - please see https://community.logos.com/forums/p/126859/825408.aspx#825408
