Don't forget to set update channel to default if you were on beta.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Should this have triggered a complete re-index.

One new item downloaded, a vyrso book, together with the update.

It is now grinding away at a very slow index of my system.

No index was triggered on my system.

I think that I've worked out what happened.

I entered rebuild index on my iOS app, in the hope of making a book appear - which it now has.

Would this have caused the index on my computer to rebuild?  Will the index on my surface tablet also rebuild? Considering that the latter took twenty hours the other day, I hope not.

Nope... and despite the similar name, the commands don't do the same thing.

Damian McGrath:

Not because of what happened on your iOS device or computer.

The only way to know for sure is to look at the logs. Did you have that enabled?

Nope. No logs.

Not sure why there was re-indexing then....

This update messed up my Logos install. After the update, Logos wouldn't run anymore. I tried downloading from the link above and the install fails, looking for a valid msi file. The one downloaded by the LogosSetup.exe isn't valid? I then tried uninstalling Logos completely and running the install again. I got the same problem. I notice that the LogosSetup.exe which I get from the link above is not version 7 but version 6.14.0.53.

Nope... Same problem. When the install tries to run the Logos-x86.msi file it says that it is not a valid install file and then I get a message that an older version of Logos can't be removed.

Philana, those links are incorrect. The Mac link downloads 6.14. From additional posts in this thread, it appears that the Windows link also downloads 6.14.

Thankfully, I have Time Machine active, so recovery was rather painless, but this needs a very quick correction.

Ok, this is probably going to have to get it's own thread and escalate to tech support.

Meanwhile, I can't get Logos reinstalled still. What is the best way to get help at this time?

I would start a new thread and explain the problem there so it gets individual focus

Or contact Customer Services - https://www.logos.com/contact

It's done the same thing for me, if that's any consolation? Ah well. Gives me an excuse for a break, I guess.

No. I'm still dreading turning on the surface tablet and triggering a re-index.
