How do I search for media?

1. For online media use Tools --> Utilities --> Media (Note Media replaces the old Visual Copy Tool.)

2. For media in your resources use Search set to Media.

Can I use my Greek Bible and BDAG in a multiview panel?

Currently multiview supports only multiple resources with the same milestone index (e.g., Bible reference milestones). We'll consider expanding this for other scenarios in the future.

How do I set up a reading plan to repeat a book e.g. Mark?

TCBlack said:

In the Reading plan just use commas and repeat Mark.

e.g. Mark, Mark, Mark, Mark

This will take them through Mark four times.

Why doesn't my custom homepage layout work ... only the Bible is opening?

The custom homepage layouts are only used if the workspace is currently blank

How do I use my audio books with their eBook equivalent?

These resources actually sync with the books that they correspond to and allow for an excellent read-along tool, even a visual cue that follows the words. Great job on this feature Faithlife! Can't wait for more titles to be included over time. This is fantastic

What Dead Sea Scrolls resources populate the "Textual Searches" section in a Bible Word Study?

They need to be morphologically tagged.

The Sectarian Dead Sea Scrolls uses the Qumran Sectarian Manuscripts. The Biblical Dead Sea Scrolls uses the Qumran Biblical Dead Sea Scrolls Database.

I don't see the Lemma in Passage Section in my Guide ... how do I find it?

Lemma in Passage is disabled by default in Passage Guide, but enabled in Exegetical Guide and Bible Word Study Guide. You can enable it per guide instance by clicking "Add" in the top right of the guide or globally by creating a guide template and naming it My Passage Guide.

Why does my Quickstart Layout of a Topic open to random terms?

It will open to the last thing you access in Factbook.

Why doesn't the Sermon Editor accept my topic entry?

Currently, they're limited to "topics" in the sense that is understood by the rest of the Library (like Topic Guide and Factbook). This lets us include your tagged sermons in Guides created for those topics:

In the meantime, you could consider adding additional cataloging comments in the Notes field. If we do add support for freeform tags, you could migrate those notes in the future.

Note at the bottom on the header information is a Private Notes area with the instructions "Put additional cataloging information here". That is the current solution for data not included but required for backward compatibility - place and date, for example.

How can I search the forums to see if my question is already answered?

Many of us find a google search is best - see https://wiki.logos.com/Using_the_Forum#Searching_the_forum_using_Google for some guidance into how to use it.

How do I create a Visual Filter for all the Old Testament quotes in Romans?

One way of doing this is to use the "intertext" label - see helpfile for a description

So you would do something like:

And create a Visual Filter from that search

How can I view mousable apparatus & commentary popups?

Denise said:

This tip is only for very lazy Logosians like me ...

When an apparatus or commentary is listed (passage guides, etc), I want a popup blurb ... not a resource name/cover.  I don't want to have to open every single item, to see if has what I'm looking for.

As it turns out, Logos provides two (and only two).

Commentary blurb popups are in the Explorer tool. I keep an Explorer next to my new MultiView panel. I keep 4 major commentaties in the MultiView, and then an Explorer to list my other commentaries  ... quickly mousable for blurbs.

Apparatus blurb popups are hidden in the Textual Varient section of guides. I keep a Textual Varient > Apparatus panel next to my original language panels ... then I can quickly mouse the apparati as needed. Remember, the Apparatus section of the guides has title/bookcovers .... not blurbs.

Lazy, I am.
